Senor Quality Manager (Hardware Products)

Senior Quality Manager – Advanced Sensing (Hardware)

About the Role

The continued success of our Advanced Sensing hardware product line has created the need to scale our quality capability alongside business growth. The Senior Quality Manager will play a key role in supporting this growth by ensuring that quality processes are robust, scalable, and capable of supporting increasing product volume and complexity.

The role is responsible for the leadership and delivery of quality assurance across the hardware portfolio, owning the effectiveness of quality processes and ensuring that products, systems, and materials consistently meet required standards and are delivered with reliability.

This position provides clear ownership, leadership, and visibility of quality performance, acting as the primary point of accountability for quality outcomes. Additionally, the Senior Quality Manager will serve as a key point of engagement for senior stakeholders on quality risks, issues, and resolutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership, ownership, and visibility of quality assurance across Advanced Sensing, ensuring products, systems, and materials comply with both company and international standards.
  • Lead and develop the quality capability, including the management of team members and the evolution of the function as the business scales.
  • Own supplier quality management for both Tier 1 and Tier 2 suppliers, including:
    • Conducting audit programs
    • Managing supplier approval processes
    • Ensuring performance optimisation
  • Assume full accountability for quality incidents, leading:
    • Root cause analysis (RCA)
    • Defect identification
    • Implementation of corrective and preventative actions (CAPA)
  • Ensure robust testing and validation processes are established, holding accountability for product approval prior to release or shipment.
  • Set, maintain, and continually improve quality standards across the entire product lifecycle, ensuring alignment with:
    • Regulatory requirements (e.g., CE, FCC, IEC)
    • Certification standards (e.g., ISO 9001)
  • Provide transparent visibility of quality performance through:
    • Reporting and metrics
    • Structured communication of risks, issues, and remediation plans to senior stakeholders.
  • Act as the quality lead in cross-functional forums, confidently representing quality matters and driving alignment on resolution and improvement initiatives.
  • Analyse the effectiveness of quality processes, systems, and controls, identifying risks and leading continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure alignment with the organisation’s Quality Management System (QMS) and provide support for audit and compliance activities.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
