Role Summary
Reporting to an Associate Research Director or a Research Director, a Research Manager is the primary contact for client communication before/during/after projects and owns and delivers full research projects.
Your Sensory Research Manager responsibilities include but are not limited to
- Lead 2-3 FMCG Accounts: build and develop a partnership relationship with clients
- Ensure revenue targets for assigned accounts are achieved
- Oversee timely, accurate, and high-quality project delivery for Account team
- Negotiate contracts, or specifications, technically, methodologically and financially
- Supporting and consulting of our clients in all aspects of FMCG product research, bringing in internal specialists as required
- Preparation of proposals (test design, price calculation)
- End to end project management and coordination:
- End to end project delivery: proposal writing, client meetings, screener & questionnaire creation, data interpretation, story-led reporting and debriefing in an engaging fashion (as required)
- Supervision of fieldwork (in specified region and internationally)
- Line manage of a junior team of 1-3 researchers/technicians
- Actively participate in internal projects, strengthen our expertise and contribute with your opinions and ideas to the growth of the company
- Develop innovative research solutions for our clients together with your colleagues

Candidate Profile
- Minimum 5 years in the industry
- Significant FMCG product testing experience: practical experience of core product testing methodologies: i.e. HUTs, CLTs, IDIs
- Significant experience in quantitative consumer research methodologies
- Solid understanding of qual research: minimum requirement is knowing when to recommend qual/bring in qual experts from within SAM
- Significant experience in a Senior Research Executive role
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English
- Proficiency in MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills
- Rigorous, responsive and proactive
