Content Writer & SEO Executive
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Content Writer & SEO Executive to join our growing homeware brand. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong writing skills and a thorough understanding of on-page SEO. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating compelling, optimised content that supports organic growth, brand storytelling, and commercial performance.
Location: Stockton, Teesside.
Job Type: Full time, in person. Reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required).
Key Responsibilities
- Work with the Marketing team to help develop and execute a content strategy aligned with SEO objectives, brand positioning, and business goals.
- Create high-quality on-site content, including homepage copy, category and product descriptions, landing pages, and promotional messaging.
- Write engaging, informative, and SEO-optimised blog articles tailored to the homeware audience.
- Optimise existing content for improved search visibility, including metadata, internal linking, keyword integration, and formatting.
- Conduct keyword research, monitor search trends, and analyse competitor content to identify opportunities for content improvement and expansion.
- Collaborate closely with external SEO and digital PR agencies to align on content planning, backlink strategies, and outreach opportunities.
- Contribute to content requirements for campaigns, new product launches, and seasonal initiatives across digital platforms.
- Maintain and manage a content calendar to ensure consistent publication and campaign support.
- Track and report on key SEO and content performance metrics using tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and SEMrush.
- Provide regular performance insights and content recommendations to the Head of Marketing.
- Ensure all content adheres to brand tone, voice, and quality standards while maintaining relevance for both customers and search engines.

Qualifications And Experience
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in content writing and SEO within e-commerce, lifestyle, or homeware industries.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute successful SEO content strategies.
- Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a keen eye for detail and clarity.
- Proficiency in using SEO tools such as SEMrush and Google Search Console.
- Experience working with CMS platforms such as Shopify, or equivalent.
- Strong understanding of on-page SEO techniques, including keyword placement, internal linking, and metadata.
- Experience working in collaboration with external SEO and digital PR agencies is essential.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, English, or a related field.
