Company Description

Wallwide Media Ltd is a specialist digital marketing agency based in the UK, working exclusively with adult social care providers — care homes and home care agencies. Our sole focus is helping care providers become visible, trusted, and easy to choose — both in traditional Google search and in the AI-powered discovery tools that families increasingly use when researching care for a loved one.

Unlike generalist agencies, we understand the regulatory environment, the language families use when searching, and what it takes to build trust in a sector where the stakes are personal. Wallwide Media supports providers in communicating their values and services clearly online. Our services are built around the care provider's specific goals: more enquiries, better-quality staff, stronger online reputation, and a digital presence that reflects the quality of care they deliver. We are a growing team with big ambitions. Every person who joins Wallwide Media becomes part of building something genuinely useful — a business that helps good care providers reach the families who need them.

Role Description

The SEO & Content Specialist is a full-time remote role responsible for improving organic search performance and creating high-quality, relevant content for adult social care providers. You are joining at the foundation stage, which means you will be the agency's primary delivery engine for SEO and content across every client from day one — and you will be instrumental in building the processes, templates, and standards that the team will scale from.

Your work directly determines whether clients hit their 60-day guarantee targets. At Visibility tier and above, organic search visibility is the core deliverable — and you own it. That means local SEO, blog content that ranks and converts, schema markup that makes care providers visible in AI search tools like ChatGPT and Perplexity, and technical audit work that keeps every client's site in good health.

Day-to-day tasks include:

  • Conducting keyword research
  • Performing SEO audits
  • Optimizing website pages and blog posts
  • Managing on-page SEO elements such as meta tags, headings, and internal linking
  • Monitoring web analytics
  • Preparing performance reports
  • Using insights to refine content and SEO strategies

The specialist will collaborate with internal teams and clients to:

  • Plan content calendars
  • Support link-building initiatives
  • Ensure that all messaging aligns with brand guidelines and the needs of the adult social care audience

About You

You are a practitioner first. You care about rankings, traffic, and the mechanics of how search engines — and now AI tools — surface information. You are as comfortable writing a well-structured schema markup block as you are drafting a 1,200-word blog article about dementia care options in Manchester.

You understand that SEO for care homes is fundamentally about trust. When a family searches for a care home, they are making one of the most emotionally significant decisions of their lives. The content you create needs to be accurate, sensitive, and genuinely useful — not just keyword-optimised filler. You take that seriously.

You are organised enough to manage a growing book of clients without things falling through the cracks. You understand that at a specialist agency, consistency and reliability are just as important as technical brilliance — a client who doesn't see their content published on time loses faith long before they see their rankings drop.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

You'll make sure every Wallwide Media client is findable — both in traditional Google search and in the AI-generated answers a growing number of families now rely on — through consistent, sector-specific SEO and content work.

You will bring:

  • At least two years of hands-on SEO experience, preferably agency-side where you have managed multiple client accounts simultaneously
  • Working knowledge of schema.org markup, structured data, and the technical SEO signals that help pages appear in AI-generated search results — this is GEO/AI SEO, and it is central to our offering
  • The ability to research, plan, and write two SEO-optimised blog articles per month per Visibility-tier client — high quality, sector-specific, and written to rank for the searches families and care seekers actually run
  • Experience using Google Search Console, GA4, and a rank-tracking tool (such as SE Ranking or Ahrefs) to monitor performance and build reporting that clients can actually understand
  • Comfort managing a content calendar across multiple clients simultaneously, with no posts missed and no deadlines slipping
  • An interest in the adult social care sector — you do not need to come from it, but you need to be willing to learn the terminology, the regulatory context, and what makes care providers different from every other local business
  • Familiarity with WordPress — enough to implement on-page SEO changes, update meta tags, add schema, and publish content directly on client sites

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct a thorough local SEO audit for every new client during onboarding, covering keyword targeting, on-page elements, Google Business Profile optimisation, and technical health
  • Build and execute monthly local SEO strategies for Visibility, Growth, and Dominate-tier clients — covering on-page optimisation, internal linking, location page creation, and citation management across all six target cities
  • Implement GEO/AI SEO: schema markup (Organisation, Service, LocalBusiness, FAQPage, AggregateRating), structured data validation, robots.txt configuration for AI crawlers, and monitoring of AI citation rates across tools like ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews
  • Research, brief, write, and publish two SEO-optimised blog articles per month per Visibility-tier client — calibrated to the keywords families and care seekers use at each stage of the search journey
  • Conduct light-touch website health audits for Foundations-tier clients monthly — flagging technical issues such as broken links, missing meta descriptions, slow page speed, or outdated content
  • Collaborate with the Web Developer on CRO-focused page improvements, ensuring SEO and conversion considerations are aligned rather than working against each other
  • Contribute to monthly client performance reports — producing SEO-specific data (ranking movements, organic traffic trends, GEO citation rates) in a format the Account Manager can present clearly to clients
  • Stay current with changes to Google's algorithm, AI search behaviour, and emerging GEO best practices — bringing updates to the team before they affect client performance
  • In Phase 3, help onboard and mentor a second SEO & Content Specialist, building the standards and processes that allow the function to scale without quality degradation

Required Skills & Experience

  • Proven on-page and technical SEO skills: keyword research, meta optimisation, internal linking, Core Web Vitals, page speed, crawl error resolution
  • Schema markup and structured data implementation (JSON-LD format preferred) — specifically Organisation, Service, LocalBusiness, FAQPage, and AggregateRating schemas
  • Content writing for local SEO: able to produce compelling, well-researched, sector-appropriate articles of 1,000–1,500 words that serve both the reader and the search engine
  • Google Search Console, GA4, and rank-tracking proficiency — able to extract meaningful insights, track keyword movements, and identify opportunities from data
  • WordPress site management — enough to implement SEO changes, manage plugins (Rank Math strongly preferred), add schema, and publish content directly
  • GEO/AI SEO awareness — understanding of how AI search tools surface local business information and what technical signals increase citation probability
  • Time and task management — comfortable managing 10–15 client accounts simultaneously without missing deliverables

Qualifications

  • Minimum two years of hands-on SEO experience in an agency or in-house role — evidenced by performance results, not just job title
  • Strong skills in Keyword Research and On-Page SEO, including optimization of content, metadata, and site structure.
  • Experience conducting SEO Audits and implementing technical and content-related recommendations.
  • Proficiency with Web Analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Search Console) to track performance and inform strategy.
  • Knowledge of ethical Link Building practices and outreach methods.
  • Excellent written communication skills and experience creating clear, engaging web content.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
  • Familiarity with adult social care or other regulated service industries is an advantage.
  • Experience with content management systems (e.g., WordPress) and basic HTML is beneficial.
  • Formal marketing qualification (CIM, degree, or equivalent) is desirable but not required where a strong portfolio of results is presented

What We Can Offer You

  • The chance to own GEO/AI SEO as a specialism from day one — one of the fastest-growing and highest-demand areas in digital marketing, with very few practitioners who understand it as well as they understand traditional SEO
  • A defined path to Lead SEO & Content Specialist as the team scales in Phase 3, including responsibility for hiring and mentoring the second SEO hire
  • Deep sector expertise in adult social care — an area of marketing that is genuinely underserved and where your work will have a real, positive impact on care providers and the families they serve
  • A salary band of £28,000–£36,000 depending on experience, reviewed annually
  • A training and tools budget for SEO certifications, rank-tracking tools, and professional development
  • Hybrid working with flexible arrangements built around client delivery needs rather than rigid office hours
