SEO Content Writer (2-Month Contract)
£35,000 pro rata full time
We're looking for an experienced freelance Website Content Writer to support our marketing team on a 2-month contract. You'll create high-quality, SEO-focused website content that improves organic search visibility while delivering clear, engaging and valuable information for people exploring care options.
This role requires exceptional writing skills, a strong understanding of SEO, and the ability to communicate care-related topics with clarity, empathy and authority. Working closely with the Marketing Director and subject matter experts, you'll produce content that strengthens our brand, increases organic traffic, and helps families make informed decisions about care.

Responsibilities:
- Research, write and optimise SEO-focused content for our website.
- Create strong local SEO landing pages targeting relevant locations and services.
- Produce helpful, expert-led blog articles and website pages that demonstrate authority and answer customer questions.
- Optimise content using SEO best practices, including keyword research, internal linking, metadata and on-page optimisation.
- Upload, format and publish completed content in WordPress.
- Ensure all content aligns with our brand voice, style guidelines and conversion goals.
- Work closely with the marketing team to prioritise content and meet deadlines.
Requirements:
- Proven experience writing SEO website content with examples of published work.
- Strong understanding of on-page SEO and content optimisation.
- Experience creating local SEO landing pages.
- Excellent copywriting, research and editing skills.
- Confident using WordPress (or similar) to upload, format and publish content.
- Ability to manage multiple pieces of content and work independently.
- Familiarity with SEO tools (such as Ahrefs, SEMrush, Google Search Console or similar) is desirable.
