SEO Executive
We’re looking for an experienced SEO Executive to join our passionate and expanding digital team.
As an SEO Executive, you will be responsible for creating and implementing strategies for improving organic search rankings and increasing visibility in the search engine results for both our company and our clients. To be successful in this role, you should have experience with on-page, off-page and technical SEO, content creation, performance analysis, and reporting, providing insights for improvement. You will be responsible for carrying out site audits, competitor analysis, keyword research and implementing these into the content to gain maximum exposure in SERPs. You are expected to work in collaboration with the digital team to maintain consistency with digital marketing tactics across all channels. You will be a confident communicator capable of working with a range of customers and colleagues.

- Type: Full-time
- Location: Hybrid (Minimum of 2 days a week at our Retford location)
- Salary: Dependent on experience
Key Responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
- Keyword research: Identifying relevant keywords and understanding user intent behind the search queries
- On-page SEO: Optimising on-page content, meta tags, and improving URL structures.
- Technical SEO: Conducting site audits to fix crawl issues, broken links or duplicate content. Ensuring mobile-friendliness, fast page load times and accurate structured data/schema markup.
- Off-page SEO: Building high-quality backlinks through ethical link building strategies, managing local citations and listings (e.g., Google Business Profile), and engaging in outreach campaigns and partnerships for guest blogging or digital PR.
- Competitor analysis: Analysing competitor SEO strategies and opportunities for better rankings.
- Monitoring & reporting: Using tools like Google Analytics, Google Search Console and SEMrush to track performance, creating monthly reports and interpreting data to make actionable recommendations.
- Staying ahead of SEO trends: Keeping up to date with algorithm changes and adapting strategies to remain effective with evolving SEO practices (e.g., AI search).
- Collaboration: Working alongside our digital teams to ensure a consistent approach for reaching client marketing goals.
- Client management: Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships, managing expectations and ensuring satisfaction.

Key Skills
To be considered, the successful candidate should have:
- Proven experience in an SEO role, preferable within a digital marketing agency
- Strong understanding of on-page, off-page, and technical SEO best practices
- Proficiency with key SEO tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush
- Solid knowledge of HTML, CSS and basic JavaScript for SEO implementation and troubleshooting
- Ability to report on, interpret and act on SEO data and performance metrics
- Familiarity with CMS platforms, especially WordPress
- Understanding of Google’s algorithm updates and how to respond to ranking fluctuations
- Ability to work across multiple projects, managing SEO strategies and deliverables on time
- Excellent communication skills to convey SEO strategies and results to clients and internal teams
- Detail oriented work with good time management and organisational skills
- Good attention to detail along with a creative mind
- Proficiency with Google Workspace (formerly G-Suite)
- Excellent team working skills to collaborate with various team members and work in alignment with them
- Have an understanding of UI/UX design
