Future Publishing is looking for an SEO & GEO Account Manager to join our growing commercial SEO team.
About the Organisation
Search is evolving rapidly. Alongside traditional search engines, AI-powered search experiences including ChatGPT, Gemini, and Google AI Overviews are shaping user discovery. As a global digital publisher, Future helps clients understand and improve visibility across these emerging platforms.
This role reports to the SEO & GEO Innovation Manager and is a strategic client-facing position focusing on Google Engine Optimisation (GEO) and traditional SEO campaigns.
Role Overview
This role combines SEO expertise, commercial awareness, and strategic client relations. You will partner with optimisation specialists, analysts, and stakeholders to ensure campaigns are successful, insights are clear, and clients recognise campaign value. While account management is key, this is primarily an SEO specialist opportunity for a trusted advisor in a fast-changing landscape.
Key Responsibilities
Client & Campaign Management
- Act as the primary contact for a portfolio of UK-based GEO clients
- Lead regular client meetings, performance reviews, and strategic discussions
- Build lasting client relationships and act as a trusted SEO advisor
- Translate complex SEO concepts into actionable client recommendations
- Guide clients through evolving search trends while measuring campaign outcomes
- Ensure timely delivery of campaigns aligned with agreed objectives

SEO & GEO Strategy
- Analyze campaign performance and traditional/AI-powered search visibility
- Monitor trends across AI search experiences (e.g., ChatGPT prompts ranking, Google AI Overviews)
- Interpret data to identify GEO optimisation opportunities
- Collaborate with optimisation teams to implement strategies
- Educate clients on authoritative content visibility in AI search
- Track advancements in search/AI platforms and share insights with internal/external stakeholders
- Contribute to evolving GEO best practices
Commercial Support
- Support new business with GEO expertise in pitches and proposals
- Produce client insights for prospective opportunities
- Work with commercial teams to articulate campaign approaches/outcomes
- Drive long-term client success through clear reporting and effective campaign delivery
Key Requirements
- Minimum 3 years’ SEO-focused experience
- Strong grasp of technical SEO, content optimisation, and search performance
- Confident presenting SEO findings/recommendations to clients/leaders
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management
- Proficiency in tools: GA4, Google Search Console, SEMRush, Ahrefs, peec.ai, and Screaming Frog
- Data-philsophical: breaking down research into actionable insights
- Fascinated by AI’s impact on search, emerging trends, and content discovery
- Experience managing multiple client relationships/projects simultaneously
- Embrace experimentation, learn quickly from iteration
