Job Description: SEO Lead
About the Company
A high-growth, multi-brand insurance business with a strong UK presence and a bold growth strategy. Supporting over 150,000 customers annually, the business is investing heavily in digital transformation and marketing to drive the next phase of expansion.
The Role
As SEO Lead, you will drive the organic search strategy across a portfolio of brands, focusing on long-term, sustainable growth in visibility, traffic, and revenue. This key hands-on role spans strategic leadership and execution, ensuring SEO’s integration into the wider marketing function alongside paid media, content, and conversion rate optimisation (CRO).
Your responsibilities will include positioning the business effectively across all search channels—from Google and Bing to AI-powered tools like ChatGPT and Gemini, and beyond.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute an SEO strategy across multiple brands, optimising organic growth and commercial outcomes.
- Oversee SEO performance metrics including rankings, traffic, conversions, and revenue contribution.
- Identify growth opportunities in content, technical SEO, and authority-building strategies.
- Optimise for emerging trends, including traditional search and AI-led discovery (GEO / AEO).
- Shape the content strategy, identifying gaps and guiding teams to align with SEO and AI optimisation best practices.
- Lead technical SEO initiatives, covering site health, indexing, performance, and structured data optimisation.
- Collaborate with paid media, CRO, and content teams to deliver a unified, data-driven search strategy.
- Establish and maintain robust reporting frameworks, using insights to guide decision-making and ROI.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
