AI Overviews now show up in around 30% of UK Google searches, according to Ofcom, and over half of UK adults say they see these summaries regularly. If you're an SEO who's already thinking about GEO as well as rankings, this contract role is worth a look.
You'll be joining a performance-led B2B marketing agency, working on a newly onboarded SEO client in the mid-market B2B SaaS space. The agency doesn't do hidden margins or inflated overheads, and that same straight-talking approach carries into how the team works together.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Experience fit
Your summer at the bank plus your econometrics coursework map directly to the day-one responsibilities on this scheme — client modelling, market briefings, and deal support.
Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
- Spotting new content opportunities and writing briefs to improve rankings
- Optimising existing content for organic performance, including on-page work and internal linking
- Reviewing new pages briefed by the client to make sure they follow SEO best practice
- Making sure all content is aligned to GEO (generative engine optimisation) as well as traditional SEO
You'll work directly with the agency's content strategist and technical SEO strategist, plus the client, on a weekly call. It's a proper seat at the table rather than a hands-off freelance brief.
