SEO Manager

Location: London (Hybrid – 2 days per week in the office) Salary: Up to £45,000 (full-time, permanent position)

About the Role

We’re seeking an experienced and commercially minded SEO Manager to join a dynamic retail and eCommerce agency in London. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on blending strategic foresight with hands-on execution and understands how SEO drives tangible performance for consumer brands.

As the SEO Manager, you’ll lead SEO strategy across a portfolio of retail and eCommerce clients, focusing on growing organic visibility, traffic, and revenue. You’ll collaborate with content, paid media, digital PR, analytics, and client services teams to develop integrated search strategies that deliver measurable results.

This role suits someone with agency experience who can confidently manage client relationships, oversee SEO roadmaps, and balance technical SEO, on-page optimisation, and content-led initiatives effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute SEO strategies for retail and eCommerce clients
  • Own day-to-day management of SEO campaigns, ensuring alignment with client goals and commercial KPIs
  • Conduct keyword research, competitor analysis and opportunity mapping to identify growth areas
  • Lead on-site SEO recommendations, including:
    • Site architecture optimisation
    • Internal linking strategies
    • Metadata and content optimisation
    • Category/product page improvements
  • Perform technical SEO audits and collaborate with developers/technical teams to implement fixes
  • Monitor organic rankings, traffic, conversions, and revenue, translating data into actionable insights and recommendations
  • Produce monthly and quarterly performance reports with strategic commentary and clear next steps
  • Collaborate with content teams to develop SEO-driven content strategies, supporting category growth, seasonal campaigns, and evergreen performance
  • Assist in website migrations, launches, and major technical changes from an SEO perspective
  • Stay updated on Google algorithm updates, SEO trends, and retail/eCommerce search developments
  • Build strong client relationships, presenting strategic vision, results, and recommendations with clarity
  • Mentor junior team members and contribute to the agency’s SEO function growth

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
