Join one of the UK’s leading SEO and digital PR agencies

Join one of the UK’s leading SEO and digital PR agencies at an exciting stage of growth, where you’ll grow organic visibility, commercial-intent traffic and revenue across traditional and AI search for a portfolio of exciting clients.

We’re looking for an SEO Manager to join Digitaloft’s SEO team.

This is a hands-on SEO role for someone who can manage a portfolio of client accounts, turn strategy into action, and drive measurable impact in commercial growth through traditional and AI search.

You’ll be responsible for planning, implementing and managing SEO activity across a portfolio of clients, working closely with our content, technical and digital PR teams to deliver work that has a clear commercial impact.

Search visibility is no longer just ten blue links. It's evolved and now also includes SERP features, third-party listings and roundups and AI-generated answers (both on the SERPs as AI Overviews and other platforms). You’ll help clients understand where their audience is searching, what they need to be visible for, and what we need to do to improve performance.

This is a role for someone who wants to be close to the work, close to clients, and accountable for helping their clients grow with SEO.

You’ll be the SEO lead across your accounts, making sure activity is prioritised, delivered to a high standard, clearly communicated, and continuously improved based on performance, and that the work is getting implemented / made live.

To be clear about what this role is, and isn’t…

This IS a hands-on SEO role: client ownership, planning, implementation, communication, performance monitoring and continuous improvement.

This is NOT a pure strategy-only role or a pure account management role, a digital PR role, or a project management-only role. You’ll work closely with content specialists, technical specialists and digital PR teams, but your job is to make sure SEO activity is moving clients towards the outcomes that matter to their businesses.

This role does not currently include line management, but there may be opportunities to support and mentor team members as the SEO team grows.

We’re looking for someone who…

  • Has proven experience managing SEO activity across multiple client accounts, ideally in an agency environment.
  • Understands how to build and implement commercially-focused SEO plans that improve visibility, traffic and revenue, not just rankings.
  • Can quickly understand a client’s business, including their products or services, commercial priorities, target audience, competitors and constraints.
  • Understands how search visibility works today, including traditional organic rankings, SERP features, AI search experiences, third-party pages, organic shopping listings and emerging search surfaces.
  • Can translate strategy into clear actions, priorities and briefs that content, technical SEO and digital PR teams can deliver against.
  • Is confident leading SEO conversations with clients, including presenting recommendations, explaining performance, answering questions and managing expectations.
  • Understands how digital PR supports SEO, including the role of links, brand mentions, authority, relevance and visibility across the wider search ecosystem.
  • Has strong analytical skills and can use data to identify opportunities, diagnose performance issues and make clear recommendations.
  • Understands how digital PR supports SEO, including the role of links, brand mentions, authority, relevance and visibility across the wider search ecosystem.
  • Can produce / review SEO deliverables to a high standard, including keyword research, content briefs, on-page recommendations, technical checks and performance reports.
  • Is proactive, organised and commercially-minded, with the ability to manage competing priorities across several clients.
  • Stays up to date with developments across SEO, AI search and digital PR, and brings that thinking into client work.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
