About Fabled Labs
Fabled Labs is a specialist AI search consultancy. We do SEO, AEO (Answer Engine Optimisation) and GEO for regulated UK industries only: law firms, private healthcare, and financial services. Our clients are premium, established firms who care deeply about their reputation, so the quality bar is high and the work is genuinely interesting.
We are small, senior and systemised. The strategy and the frameworks already exist. What we need now is someone excellent to run the delivery.
The role in one line
You take hands-on SEO and AEO delivery for our premium clients off the founder's desk, working to our existing playbooks so the standard stays consistent every month.
What you will actually do
- Execute on-page and technical SEO across our premium client sites, following our documented SOPs.
- Own the monthly delivery cycle per client: metadata, H1s, internal linking, schema, canonicals, fixing what needs fixing.
- Run AEO and entity work to our playbook, so clients surface well in AI answers as well as traditional search.
- Pull and interpret data from GSC, GA4 and Ahrefs, and turn it into the monthly report using our reporting process.
- Coordinate day-to-day with our existing contractors: our data and technical lead, our web developer, and our PPC specialist.
- Flag risks and opportunities up to the founder, who owns strategy and the client relationship.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
Graduate Consultant — 2026 Scheme
Why you're a good match
StrongYour economics background and your summer at a regional bank line up with what PwC looks for on the consulting scheme. Applications close in four weeks.
See breakdownIt searches the market for you
Every day your agent scans the market matching roles against what actually matters to you, not just keywords on a CV.
Why you're a good match
You’ve got the grades and the economics background, and your bank internship is exactly the experience this scheme looks for. Apply soon — deadlines close within the month.
Experience fit
Your summer at the bank plus your econometrics coursework map directly to the day-one responsibilities on this scheme — client modelling, market briefings, and deal support.
Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
If you are a brilliant executor who likes clean process and takes pride in delivery, this is a great seat. If you want to redesign the methodology, it is not the right fit.
Must-haves
- Solid midweight SEO experience, comfortable running technical and on-page work independently.
- Confident with Ahrefs, Google Search Console and GA4.
- Genuinely careful. You will have access to regulated client sites, so accuracy, discretion and following process matter more than speed.
- Reliable and self-managing. We work asynchronously and trust people to deliver without being chased.
- Clear written communication.
Nice-to-haves
- Exposure to regulated or high-trust content (legal, financial or healthcare), and an understanding of E-E-A-T.
- Experience with AEO or AI search visibility, or a clear appetite to learn it.
- Familiarity with structured reporting and working to defined SOPs.

How we work
Everything runs on documented SOPs and a set QA gate. We value people who improve the system as they go, but the baseline is that the process gets followed and the output is consistent.
Rate and terms
- £350–£450 per day depending on experience.
- Starting at 2 days per week, with a clear path to 3/4 as client load grows
- Ongoing freelance contract, remote, UK-based.
How to apply
Send a short note telling us who you are, a couple of examples of technical or on-page SEO work you have delivered, and your day rate.
Shortlisted candidates will be asked to complete a short paid trial task: pulling and interpreting a specific set of metrics for one client URL and formatting it the way our reporting process expects. It takes about an hour, we pay for your time, and it tells both of us very quickly whether this is a fit.
