We’re excited to announce that we are looking for an SEO Specialist to join our team here at Ellis Digital.
We’re after someone with proven experience delivering SEO success – from technical audits through to content strategy and link building. You’ll be comfortable working independently, confident explaining your recommendations to clients, and ready to take ownership of SEO performance across a range of industries.
Essential Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year SEO experience (agency or in-house).
- Proven track record of improving organic visibility and traffic.
- Deep knowledge of technical SEO (site audits, crawl issues, indexing, site speed, schema, Core Web Vitals).
- Skilled in keyword research, content optimisation, and competitor analysis.
- Strong understanding of link-building strategies and off-page SEO.
- Experienced in using tools such as Google Analytics, Search Console, and Ahrefs.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to turn data into clear actions and results.
- Strong communicator, confident presenting to both clients and colleagues.
- Self-motivated and able to prioritise multiple projects and deadlines.
- Keeps up to date with Google algorithm changes and industry best practice.

What you will be doing
- Owning the SEO strategy and performance for a portfolio of clients.
- Conducting detailed technical SEO audits and implementing recommendations.
- Delivering keyword research and content strategies to improve rankings and conversions.
- Managing link acquisition campaigns and monitoring backlink profiles.
- Tracking, reporting, and analysing performance to demonstrate ROI.
- Collaborating with our design, development, and content teams to deliver SEO best practice.
- Supporting new website launches with technical SEO input.
- Helping to develop and strengthen the SEO offering at Ellis Digital.

About the company
We are a small digital marketing and creative agency based just outside of Guildford, Surrey, in a 400-year-old barn conversion. Since we began in 2015, we have continued to grow our client base and are now looking to expand our team further.
