Associate (Grade A) – RTA Serious Injury

Location: London or Remote Department: Serious Injury Employment Type: Associate

About the Role

As an Associate in our Serious Injury team, you will contribute a senior role within one of the UK’s largest claimant serious injury practices.

You will manage our most difficult RTA claims, crafting winning strategies and achieving transformative outcomes for clients facing life-changing injuries.

This role is for experienced professionals who value expertise, quality, and thoughtful decision-making—without compromise from external billings targets. Instead, you’ll have the time, support, and autonomy to lead complex cases with focus and precision.

The team operates with defined case value bands, providing deep specialism in serious injury work including liability, quantum, rehabilitation, and settlement negotiations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a high-value RLAT/RTA serious injury caseload—from initial strategy through to definitive resolution
  • Lead on entire case strategy, including liability, quantum construction, rehab planning, and settlement tactics
  • Collaborate with ** Claimants/Families, Counsel, Medical Experts and specialist providers** to deliver balanced, expert decisions
  • Oversee trainees, assistant fee earners, and paralegals, providing consistent guidance and mentorship
  • Champion ethical litigation and uphold strict refinement in evidence, pleading and client care

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
