About the Role

We’re looking for a Server to join the team at The Parakeet.

Located in the heart of Kentish Town, The Parakeet is an independent public house and dining room. In the front, a lively neighbourhood pub. In the back, an award-winning dining room serving Basque-inspired small plates cooked over coal and fire. Led by chef Ben Allen, the kitchen has received critical acclaim from The Times, The Evening Standard, and more.

But don’t just take our word for it:

  • Top 100 restaurants in London
  • Top 50 Gastropubs
  • The Times | Giles Coren review
  • The Evening Standard review

What You’ll Do

As a Server, you’ll be right at the centre of the guest experience, with a strong focus on small plate, sharing-style service. You’ll guide guests through the menu, help them build their meal, pace the table, and ensure dishes land at the right time to create a seamless, flowing experience.

This isn’t traditional starters and mains. It’s about reading the table, understanding timing, and delivering a style of service that feels natural, informed and well-paced. It’s a great opportunity for someone who enjoys food-led service, wants to deepen their knowledge, and takes pride in getting the details right.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
