Hello Brighton
Pearly Cow Brighton is now on the lookout for our next Casual Summer Waiting Team Member
Do you know how to carry three plates, remember five orders, and still greet guests with a smile that says, "You're in for something special"? Can you talk steak temperatures like a sommelier talks wine, and describe seafood specials with the enthusiasm of seagulls chasing chips?
Pearly Cow is an independent collection of grill restaurants in Brighton, York and Margate, where we serve up the most indulgent cuts of meat and the freshest fish in gorgeous settings, where you'll feel right at home.
What You'll Be Doing
- Welcoming guests and guiding them through the menu like a seasoned pro
- Taking orders with accuracy and flair - and delivering them with style
- Working closely with the kitchen and bar teams to keep service smooth
- Keeping the dining area looking sharp and running like clockwork
- Making every guest feel like they've just discovered their new favourite restaurant

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
