Service Advisor

Service Advisor – Motorstore, Birtley

Hours

Full Time

  • Monday – Friday: 8am – 5:30pm
  • Alternate Saturdays: 8am – 12pm

About The Role

At [Motorstore, Birtley], our Service Advisors ensure an exceptional experience for every customer visiting for repairs or vehicle service.

This customer-facing position is ideal for someone with a background in customer service, who thrives on delivering outstanding results—from Monday mornings to Friday evenings.

You’ll be the first point of contact and the trusted advisor to our customers, ensuring they always receive a secure, professional, and personable service.


Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Handling customer service queries for repairs and vehicle servicing with efficiency and professionalism
  • Liaising between customers, workshop teams, and bodyshops to streamline vehicle repair work
  • Managing computerised job schedules, purchasing, and invoicing to safeguard both customer trust and company integrity
  • Identifying vehicle faults and providing clear, accurate repair recommendations to customers
  • Resolving dissatisfaction with empathy, ensuring customers feel supported and acted upon
  • Maintaining accurate customer records, including vehicle details and service histories
  • Staying knowledgeable about aftersales products and upselling opportunities where appropriate
  • Keeping the customer database updated and accurate

Essential Requirements

  • A genuine passion for excellent customer service and the ability to resolve conflicts swiftly and professionally
  • Strong computer literacy and IT experience (familiarity with job/financial systems preferred)
  • Ability to multitask and work flexibly in a high-pressure environment
  • Exceptional communication skills—ability to explain technical information clearly and confidently
  • Strong organisation and time management skills to balance customer needs with workshop capacity
  • Willingness to adhere to company processes while adapting to demands
  • Good administrative skills (accurate data entry for customer records)
  • Full UK driving licence
