Service Advisor

Service Advisor – Vertu Ford Gloucester

Here at Vertu Ford Gloucester, one of the largest Motor Retailers in the UK, we have an exciting opportunity for a Service Advisor to join our well-established business.

About the Role

We are offering a competitive basic salary up to £35,000 per annum, plus a comprehensive benefits package depending on experience.

The Service Advisor role is one of the most critical and rewarding in our dealership. It’s not just about delivering service—it’s about building warm, trusted relationships with customers. The role holder acts as the primary liaison between the customer and the workshop, ensuring outstanding customer satisfaction at every level.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Setting customer expectations clearly and maintaining communication throughout their vehicle’s service or repair
  • Up-selling additional products where appropriate
  • Following up with customers post-service to ensure they’re fully satisfied with the work carried out

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service, focusing on relationship-building and trust
  • Act as the bridge between customers and the workshop to ensure smooth workflow
  • Maintain strong communication at every stage of the service or repair process
  • Upsell complementary products/services where beneficial
  • Deliver outstanding customer satisfaction through proactive follow-ups

Requirements

To excel in this role, we’re looking for candidates with:

  • Previous customer-facing service experience (essential for consideration)
  • A customer-focused mentality and strong ability to maintain long-term relationships
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while meeting targets and deadlines
  • Experience in automotive sales or service is advantageous but not mandatory
