Service Advisor

Service Advisor – Automotive Dealership (Full-Time, Permanent)

Location: Bristol

Salary: £30,000–£38,000 Basic (Dependent on Experience)


About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Service Advisor to join a busy and professional automotive dealership in Bristol. This customer-facing role is ideal for an individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about delivering exceptional customer service.

As a Service Advisor, you will act as the key point of contact between customers and the workshop, ensuring a seamless service experience from vehicle check-in through to completion of repairs and servicing.


Key Responsibilities

  • Greet customers and manage service bookings.
  • Accurately identify customer requirements and vehicle concerns.
  • Liaise with technicians and workshop staff regarding vehicle progress.
  • Provide customers with updates and obtain authorisation for additional work.
  • Prepare estimates, invoices, and service documentation.
  • Promote additional products and services where appropriate.
  • Ensure all work is completed to agreed timescales and customer expectations.
  • Handle customer queries and resolve issues professionally.
  • Maintain accurate records using the dealer management system.

Candidate Requirements

Essential

  • Previous experience as a Service Advisor within the automotive industry.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Strong organisational and administrative abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure in a busy environment.
  • Good IT and system skills.
  • Full UK driving licence.

  • Main dealership experience.
  • Knowledge of Kerridge, Pinnacle, Keyloop, or similar DMS systems.
  • Experience working towards customer satisfaction and performance targets.
