Role Description
The Service Advisor role is a full-time, on-site position based at Hartwell Automotive Group in Abingdon-On-Thames. The Service Advisor will be responsible for:

This role includes:
- Preparing job cards
- Liaising with technicians
- Providing clear updates on progress
- Explaining work carried out and associated costs
The Service Advisor will coordinate aftersales services, handle inquiries by phone, email, and in person, and ensure a smooth and professional customer experience throughout the service journey. The position also involves:
- Managing appointments
- Processing payments
- Supporting warranty and service plan administration
- Contributing to service department targets and customer satisfaction goals
Qualifications
- Strong customer-focused service skills, with a commitment to customer satisfaction and professional customer service.
- Effective communication skills, including the ability to explain technical information in clear, accessible language.
- Experience or understanding of aftersales processes within an automotive or similar service environment.
- Ability to manage bookings, schedules, and administrative tasks with good attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good IT skills, including use of dealership or service management systems and standard office software.
- Previous experience in a service advisor, customer-facing automotive, or related role is beneficial.
- Knowledge of vehicle maintenance or repair processes is an advantage, though technical qualifications are not essential.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team, remain calm under pressure, and deliver a positive experience to every customer.
