At Vertu Toyota Barnsley, we’re excited to offer an opportunity for a Service Advisor to join our established and supportive team. If you’re looking to grow your career with one of the UK’s largest and most secure motor retail groups, this could be the role for you.

We are offering a £31,956.34 basic salary, along with a range of excellent company benefits.

Your working hours will be 8am-5.30pm Monday to Friday and 1 in 3 Saturday mornings.

What You’ll Do

  • Setting clear expectations and guiding customers through each stage of their vehicle’s service or repair
  • Giving regular updates in a communication style that works best for the customer
  • Identify opportunities to offer additional products or services that may benefit the customer
  • Follow up after work is completed to ensure satisfaction

What We’re Looking For

Experience as a Service Advisor isn’t essential — if you’re eager to learn, we’ll help you develop the skills you need.

However, You Will Need

  • At least 12 months of experience in a customer service role
  • Motor trade experience, ideally in a service or aftersales environment
  • Full UK driving licence (manual and automatic)
  • Confidence communicating with a wide range of people in a supportive, respectful manner.
  • A proactive approach to meeting targets, managing your time and staying calm during peak periods
  • Confident using computer systems and managing multiple tasks
