Exciting Opportunity in Adult Mental Health Inpatient and Learning Disabilities Service

We are looking for a strong team player to support these services on a part-time basis.

Role Overview

The post holder will need to demonstrate organisational, planning, and time management skills, and who can work well under pressure and to tight timescales. You will be responsible for the provision of an efficient, high-quality business performance and planning processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Using data to identify areas requiring support to meet Welsh Government targets and developing data capture systems where needed.
  • Demonstrating advanced digital skills with good experience of working with databases, spreadsheets, and other software.
  • Developing strong links with service business partners, particularly Finance, with regards to expenditure, budgets, and staff in post monitoring, including supporting each service with the recruitment process.
  • Setting up and maintaining core databases/spreadsheets appropriate to the service and reporting on levels of compliance within areas such as mandatory training/PDR and other workforce requirements.
  • Contributing to the development and implementation of the service operational plan and agreed service developments in line with the Directorate Strategic Framework.
  • Developing and implementing business systems reflecting service changes and clinical imperatives, ensuring these link and complement systems within the wider Directorate business function.
  • Ensuring that information and documentation is provided in a timely fashion and readily available for meetings and discussions, including preparing reports, agendas, minutes, statistics, and other similar documents.

  • Four main hospitals: Bronglais Hospital in Aberystwyth; Glangwili Hospital in Carmarthen; Prince Philip Hospital in Llanelli; and Withybush Hospital in Haverfordwest.
  • Five community hospitals: Amman Valley and Llandovery hospitals in Carmarthenshire; Tregaron Hospital in Ceredigion; and Tenby and South Pembrokeshire hospitals in Pembrokeshire.
