Job Title: Service Charge Cash Analyst

Our client, a global property group, is looking for a talented Service Charge Cash Analyst to join their London team. You will be a central point for service charge cash management and support operational and financial decision-making across the function. The successful candidate will have previously worked in a cash management position within the property industry and be comfortable working cross-functionally with finance, operations and property teams.

Description

The responsibilities of the Service Charge Cash Analyst include but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for overall service charge cash integrity, collection, allocation and control of service charge funds.
  • Allocate service charge cash accurately and resolve unallocated or mis-posted receipts.
  • Perform numerous bank reconciliations and investigate variances ensuring compliance.
  • Monitor cash position and ensure liquidity management by tracking cash balances against budgets.
  • Identify surpluses and deficits early and flag to service charge accountants.
  • Manage service charge payments and sweeps to prevent overdrawn accounts.
  • Support credit control and provide accurate cash positions.
  • Manage landlord loans, identifying and investigating any funding gaps.
  • Ensure VAT cash settlement processes are correct.

Skills

The skills of the Service Charge Cash Analyst include but are not limited to:

  • Previous experience working with UK accounting standards, property accounting and sector regulations.
  • Good understanding of cash, AP and AR processes.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills with the ability to work with large datasets.
  • Advanced Excel skills and a good knowledge of Yardi/Dynamics 365.
  • Demonstrable interest and capability in leveraging AI, technology and automation to improve processes.
  • Proactive in problem solving and high attention to detail.
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally with finance, property and operations teams.
