Service Charge Manager – Milton Keynes (Hybrid)

About the Role

My client, a fastest-growing top 20 accountancy firm in the UK, are seeking an experienced Service Charge Manager to join their team in Milton Keynes.

This is a high-impact role where you'll:

  • Manage a portfolio of key clients
  • Deliver exceptional service while driving growth opportunities
  • Oversee and review service charge accounts
  • Guide your team to deliver at the highest standards
  • Ensure clients receive a consistently outstanding experience
  • Drive portfolio workflow, practice management, and support strategic client planning

Key Responsibilities

  • Client Relationships & Engagement

    • Build strong client relationships through regular online and in-person engagement
    • Drive exceptional service delivery
  • Business Development & Growth

    • Identify growth opportunities within existing clients
    • Expand the portfolio and support wider business development

    • Own portfolio performance, including:
      • Billing targets
      • Recoveries
      • Debt management
      • Forecasting
  • Team Leadership & Development

    • Coach and develop Senior and Executive Accountants through on-the-job support
    • Identify training needs and drive development plans, escalating where required
  • Personal Branding & Engagement

    • Build a personal brand to promote the team, including:
      • Active LinkedIn presence
      • Content creation

    • Champion continuous improvement
    • Drive efficiency and service enhancements across the team
    • Support adoption and development of bespoke software across teams and clients

Person Specification

Qualifications & Experience

  • AAT qualified/part qualified ACCA/ACA or qualified by experience

Skills & Attributes

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Confident working independently and collaboratively
  • Highly organised with a methodical approach to workload management
  • Advanced MS Office skills, particularly Excel
  • Service charge accounting knowledge (desirable)

Salary & Contract Details

  • Salary: £45,000 – £55,000 (DOE)
  • Working Arrangements:
    • Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM
    • 3 days in the office, 2 days hybrid (remote)
