As a 24-hour retailer, Asda operates continuously across our supermarkets, superstores, and Asda Express locations, offering flexible shift patterns to suit different lifestyles. Late evening and weekend working is a key part of the role, with the flexibility to work around personal commitments.
Role Purpose
As a Service Colleague, you’ll support multiple store departments to ensure smooth operations. Your work could include:
- Serving customers at checkouts
- Preparing fresh food, such as pizzas
- Picking orders for home delivery
- Restocking shelves and maintaining displays
- Providing excellent customer service and creating a warm, welcoming shopping experience
The role is dynamic—every shift could present a new opportunity to engage with customers, contribute across functions, and deliver outstanding service.

Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Providing efficient and cheerful service in high-pressure retail and delivery environments
- Supporting colleagues in maintaining clean, well-organised, and appealing store layouts
- Following food safety, hygiene, and stock rotation guidelines
- Assisting with cashier duties, including processing ** Odewahn delivery payments** and handling customer queries
- Upholding store standards in areas like DPP (Deliver Our Promise) objectives, markdown management, and premium service delivery
