Service Colleague (Express)
Service Colleague (Express) – EXP - 5624 GREENWICH
Location: Greenwich Employment Type: Part time Shift Pattern: Nights Hours per Week: 12 Pay Rate: £16.75 per hour Closing Date: 15 July 2026
About the Role
Our operation runs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week across our Supermarkets, Superstores, and Asda Express locations. We offer a wide variety of shift patterns to accommodate different lifestyles, with flexibility to suit your commitments. However, late and weekend shifts are key parts of these roles, requiring some adaptability.
As a Service Colleague, you’ll work across multiple departments to ensure our stores run smoothly. Each day could present a new opportunity—whether you’re serving customers at the checkouts, preparing fresh produce, picking orders for home delivery, restocking shelves, or assisting customers in-store.
Our customers are at the heart of everything we do, and we take pride in delivering excellent service, a welcoming environment, and premium ‘extra special’ products. Together, we drive sales and enhance the online and in-store shopping experience.
About You
You’re naturally friendly, enthusiastic, and hands-on, eager to step up and take on new challenges. We appreciate those who:
- Enjoy cross-departmental skills and learning continuously.
- Love assisting customers, whether it’s helping them find products or striking up friendly conversations.
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment while delivering a positive experience for everyone who visits our stores.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
