Service Coordinator

Location: ST. HELENS

Bilfinger UK is a leading engineering and maintenance provider, supporting customers across the chemical & petrochemical, nuclear, oil & gas, pharmaceuticals & biopharma, power & energy, utilities, renewables and food & beverage markets. We enhance the efficiency of assets, ensuring a high level of availability and reducing maintenance costs.

We have extensive experience in offshore and onshore facilities; specialising in asset management services throughout all life cycle phases from consulting, engineering, manufacturing, assembly, operations, maintenance, and decommissioning.

This commitment is delivered by an experienced and highly competent workforce of over 4,500 employees operating from 14 offices in strategic industrial hubs, upholding the highest standards of safety, compliance and quality.


A service co-ordinator is required for the service department based at Prospect House, Haydock. A committed and enthusiastic member of the team, taking responsibility for the successful delivery of call out and maintenance requirements of service contract customers, supporting the management and technical management team. Showing initiative, managing priorities and own time along with problem solving and decision making skills are essential.

Main Responsibilities

  • A key member of the service delivery team with excellent customer service skills
  • Managing customer calls and email requests to plan and manage call outs and maintenance requests
  • Use of departments standard tools including Ganttic and Autotask for planning resources
  • SAP user – including creating purchase orders and inputting time sheets, completing goods receipting, report provision
  • Use of standard tools for review and provision of engineers reports to clients
  • Quoting using standard tools
  • Maintain calibration and tool certification
  • Proactively maintain engineers training records
  • Support management with BUK standard reporting systems such as ACTIVE

Experience and Qualifications

  • Proven experience previously within a similar role for a service type delivery business
  • National 5 (N5) or equivalent (Grade C or better) in English Language and Mathematics is essential

Skills/Personal Qualities

  • Individuals need to have good communication skills, both written and verbal, IT skills, number skills, analytical skills, demonstrate attention to detail, logical attitude and be a team player
  • Individuals must be able to demonstrate a willingness and passion to develop skills within industry, be hardworking, confident and organised
  • Experience in a similar service role preferred
