Service Coordinator

Location: Manchester (with occasional travel to the Midlands)

Salary: £27,000 per annum + Annual Pay Review

Holiday: 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays

Job Type: Full-time, Temp to Permanent

About the Role

We are a well-established engineering company looking for a highly organised and customer-focused Service Coordinator to join our growing team. Based in Manchester, this is a varied and fast-paced role where you'll be responsible for coordinating engineers, scheduling service appointments, and ensuring excellent customer service from enquiry through to completion.

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting our service operations and maintaining strong relationships with both customers and engineers. Occasional travel to the Midlands will be required, so flexibility and a willingness to travel are essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Schedule and coordinate engineer appointments efficiently.
  • Manage customer enquiries via telephone and email with a professional and friendly approach.
  • Process purchase orders accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Update and maintain customer records using the company's CRM system.
  • Prepare service reports and administrative documentation.
  • Liaise with engineers, suppliers, and customers to ensure smooth service delivery.
  • Monitor job progress and communicate updates to customers.
  • Support the wider service and operations team with general administrative duties.

About You

We're looking for someone who is:

  • Experienced in a Service Coordinator, Service Administrator, or similar scheduling role.
  • Confident using CRM systems and maintaining accurate records.
  • Experienced in processing purchase orders and producing reports.
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
  • A confident communicator with an excellent telephone manner.
  • Passionate about delivering outstanding customer service.
  • Able to prioritise workload and work effectively in a busy environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Willing to travel occasionally to the Midlands as required.
