Service Delivery Support Manager
Support Manager – Audiology
About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Support Manager with a strong passion for operational delivery to help drive a wide-ranging transformational agenda within Audiology at Hywel Dda University Health Board.
As the Support Manager for Audiology, you will lead operational performance across the service, ensuring high-quality delivery within agreed resources. You will play a critical role in supporting the Audiology Senior Team and helping to shape future services during a period of significant change.
Key Responsibilities

Service Delivery & Capacity Management
- Lead all aspects of operational performance across the Audiology service
- Oversee capacity and demand management, including timetabling for 24 clinicians
- Ensuring efficient resource allocation while maintaining service quality standards

Performance Data & Business Support
- Responsible for verifying and analysing performance data, including cross-referencing new all-Wales reportable waiting lists
- Provide support to the Head of Audiology, ENT/Audiology Service Manager, and Audiology Office Manager
- Work with health board colleagues to develop, implement, and review service improvement plans
- Be a strong champion of operational effectiveness and high-quality care

Electronic Patient Management (AuditBase)
- Review and manage AuditBase, the preferred electronic patient management system
- Ensure referrals are handled appropriately and optimise system functionality

Demand & Clinical Scheduling
- Conduct ongoing capacity planning to meet adult and paediatric waiting list trajectories
- Maximise clinical scheduling efficiency to optimise resource utilisation

Stakeholder Engagement & Coordination
- Act as a key point of contact for operational issues within the Audiology Service
- Collaborate with the Head of Service, ENT/Audiology Service Delivery Manager, and Senior Audiology Team
- Engage with external organisations when necessary
Requirements
- Excellent analytical and organisational skills, with an ability to interpret and act on data
- Strong project management capabilities to drive service improvements
- Familiarity or willingness to adapt to healthcare systems and IT infrastructure (AuditBase, patient databases)
- Business acumen in planning, resource management, and service delivery
- Good communication skills to liaise effectively across different teams
- Desirable but not mandatory: Fluency in Welsh (both English/Welsh speakers are welcome)
