Service Design Transition Manager

London – Hybrid
Initial 6-Month Contract at £500-£600/Day

A leading organisation is seeking an experienced Service Design Transition Manager to support the successful delivery of business-critical transformation initiatives.

This role offers the chance to own service design and transition delivery across strategic programmes, ensuring new services are operationally ready and successfully embedded into live service.

The Role

  • Lead end-to-end service design and transition activities across multiple strategic programmes.
  • Define operating service models, service acceptance criteria, and transition plans to support successful go-live.
  • Drive service readiness across suppliers, stakeholders, and internal support teams, including onboarding, training, and hyper-care planning.
  • Collaborate with ServiceNow and architecture teams to ensure operational readiness and service supportability.
  • Represent Service Management within governance forums, maintaining key service design, risk, and transition documentation to enable a seamless handover into BAU operations.

  • Proven experience delivering Service Design and Service Transition within complex transformation programmes.
  • Strong knowledge of ITIL service management best practice, including service readiness and operational acceptance.
  • Experience operating within SIAM or multi-supplier environments, with the ability to manage senior stakeholders and third-party suppliers.
  • Expertise in producing Service Design Packages, Operating Service Models, and transition documentation.
  • Exposure to ServiceNow and service onboarding activities, ensuring services are fully supported and operationally ready for go-live.
