The Role: Service Designer (UK Advisory Centre)
Join us as a Service Designer to:
- Deliver high-impact digital products for UK’s largest enterprises and public sector clients.
- Bridge the gap between user needs, technical capabilities, and business strategies, shaping transformative solutions.
- Shape the future of digital services with market-leading technologies.
Key Responsibilities
Core Delivery Focus
✅ Drive user-centred design solutions that deliver business impact and operational efficiency. ✅ Work across ukitecture, design, and delivery teams to align design with organisational and operational goals. ✅ Ensure solutions meet GDS (Government Digital Service) standards, including passing Service Standard Assessments.
Stakeholder & Communication Leadership
✅ Build strong, trusting relationships with clients, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams. ✅ Act as single point of contact for projects, ensuring alignment with vision, objectives, and deadlines. ✅ Lead engaging design workshops, sprints, and ideation sessions with senior and technical stakeholders.

Complex Problem-Solving
✅ Conduct deep analysis of user needs and business objectives in high-risk, complex service areas. ✅ Design capture concepts, user experience (UX) models, and service blueprints that optimise workflows. ✅ Evaluate design prototypes rapidly with users, iterate solutions, and ensure real-world scaling.
✅ Define product/service outcomes and guiding frameworks that drive societal and commercial value.
What We Look For
Must-Have Experience
- Proven experience designing digital services in agile, multi-disciplinary teams.
- Strong track record delivering large-scale transformation projects with public or private sector clients.
- Demonstrable compliance with GDS standards and Service Standard Assessments (UK public sector).
- Expertise in end-to-end user journey mapping and rapid prototyping.
- Ability to build trust with stakeholders while managing complex negotiations.
Key Skills
- Strategic Design: Proven ability to align roadmaps, troubleshooting problems, and delivering project outcomes.
- Relationship Management: Experience leading stakeholder alignment across global teams and Federated System Architecture.
- Tech + Business Bridge: Fluency in communication between technical and non-technical teams; ability to simplify complex challenges.
