Job Opportunity at T H WHITE Dairy
T H WHITE Dairy is a leading DeLaval dealer supporting dairy farms across the south of England with advanced milking technologies, including robotic milking systems, parlours, cooling and related dairy equipment. We are looking for a practical, customer-focused engineer to join our Attleborough depot and build a specialist career in modern agricultural engineering.
No previous dairy engineering experience is required. We are keen to hear from engineers with transferable skills in mechanical, electrical, plumbing, hydraulics, pneumatics or refrigeration who want to move into a highly specialised and modern area of agriculture. Full product and specialist training will be provided.
Following an extensive training period, you will be based from our Attleborough depot and will be responsible for the installation, servicing, repair and breakdown response of automated milking equipment and milking plant across the East of England. This is a field-based role offering variety, autonomy and the opportunity to work with market-leading dairy technology.

- 39 hours per week
- Mon-Thurs 08:00-16:30
- Fri 08:00-16:00
- On call rota requirement of 1 week in every 3 weeks
Key Duties Will Include
- Service, maintain and repair milking equipment, parlours and automated dairy systems.
- Attend breakdowns and aim for a high first-time fix rate.
- Carry out installation and commissioning work as required.
- Complete clear and accurate job paperwork in a timely manner.
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping, professionalism and customer service on site.
- Work safely at all times and follow health and safety procedures.
- Represent T H WHITE positively when working on customer farms.
The Ideal Applicant
- An engineering background with skills in mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and/or electrical work.
- Electrical bias and fault-finding experience would be advantageous.
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
- Ability to work independently, stay organised and manage changing priorities.
- IT literate and able to complete service records accurately.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Own basic hand tools; specialist tools will be provided.
- Willingness to join an out-of-hours rota of 1 week in every 3 once trained.
