Your role will be

  • Carry out routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs on sewage treatment plant equipment to ensure reliable and efficient operation.
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and control system faults, minimising downtime and maintaining compliance with operational standards.
  • Monitor plant performance, analyse operational data, and recommend improvements to optimise treatment processes and asset reliability.
  • Conduct emergency call-outs and respond promptly to equipment failures, implementing effective corrective actions to restore service.
  • Complete detailed service reports, maintenance records, and compliance documentation in accordance with company and regulatory requirements.
  • Liaise with site operators, contractors, and customers to provide technical support, ensure safe working practices, and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.

  • Full UK driving licence with the ability to travel independently to customer sites and respond to emergency call-outs.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills, with the ability to diagnose and repair a wide range of sewage treatment plant equipment.
  • Knowledge of wastewater treatment processes, pumps, motors, control systems, and associated plant machinery.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to work effectively under pressure and prioritise workloads.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills, with the ability to build positive relationships and provide clear technical guidance to clients and colleagues.
