Service Engineer
Service Engineer – Permanent (Full-Time)
Location:
Coventry (CV2 2TA) with 50% expected travel
As a Service Engineer within DHL Supply Chain, you’ll play a central role in maintaining our automated logistics operations—keeping them running smoothly, safely, and efficiently across multiple sites. Working with advanced machinery and cutting-edge technologies, you’ll ensure these systems remain reliable, supporting fast-paced supply chain operations.
This role blends hands-on engineering, technical problem-solving, and cross-team collaboration, offering the chance to apply your expertise in real-world environments where your impact is visible and valued. Whether supporting colleagues on-site, resolving remote issues, or coordinating with suppliers and workshop teams, you’ll be a trusted partner ensuring our equipment always performs at its best.
✅ Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality technical support, maintenance, and servicing for automated logistics equipment, ensuring smooth and reliable performance.
- Collaborate closely with operations, workshop, and supplier teams to support assets throughout their lifecycle.
- Manage and resolve ticketing system issues, keeping stakeholders informed and reducing downtime.
- Offer on-site and remote support to operations teams, maximising equipment availability and efficiency.
- Diagnose and resolve electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and control-system-related faults across various automated machinery.
- Work with advanced maintenance tools and emerging technologies.

✅ Requirements
- Hands-on experience with mechanical and electrical systems.
- Minimum qualification: HND (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related discipline.
- Strong understanding of PUWER and ISO standards relevant to machinery safety and performance.
- Full UK driving licence – Required for multi-site travel responsibilities.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and support operations across multiple sites.
