Service Engineer Apprentice
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic school or college leaver to join our team in Wokingham as a Service Engineer Apprentice, undertaking a Mechatronics Engineering apprenticeship training programme. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience while working towards a nationally recognised, level 3 qualification over a three-year period.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the design, development, and maintenance of mechanical and electronic systems
- Support the installation and testing of automation equipment and robotics
- Participate in troubleshooting and repair of mechatronic systems
- Collaborate with engineers and service technicians on live projects and maintenance tasks
- Maintain accurate records of work completed and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
- Follow health and safety procedures and ensure compliance with company standards
Training And Development
- Complete a structured training programme combining on-the-job learning with academic study
- Attend college or training provider sessions on a block-delivery basis as required to fulfil qualification requirements. For instance, in year 1 you may be away from home for up to 1-week in every six-week cycle
- Receive mentoring and support from experienced engineers and team members

Requirements
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths, English, and Science (Grade C/4 or above).
- A keen interest in engineering, automation, and technology
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Good communication and teamwork abilities
- Willingness to learn and take initiative
