Role Overview
Join Otis, an international, talent-driven company, as we prioritise Safety, Ethics, Quality, Innovation, and Employee Opportunity. We are seeking a Maintenance Mechanic (Service Engineer) to ensure the seamless operation and safety of our elevator and escalator portfolio across London.
On a typical day, you’ll contribute to:
- Completing 100% of lift maintenance and service visits across the London area.
- Managing lift portfolios effectively, maintaining broad coverage.
- Proactively responding to breakdowns with a target for first-time fixes.
- Undertaking minor repairs to ensure continuous operation.
- Building strong customer relationships through professional liaison during on-site visits.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure technical and passenger safety through diligent maintenance.
- Perform service repairs and preventative work on elevator/escalator units.
- Achieve quick, effective issue resolution with a first-time fix focus.
- Engage directly with customers to foster collaboration and reliability.

Requirements
To succeed in this role, you’ll need:
- Qualification in lift service, repair, or maintenance (e.g., NVQ or equivalent).
- A valid UK driving license.
- At least 24 months of experience within the lift industry.
- Strong skills in electricity and electrical engineering.
- A commitment to safety as your top priority.
- Excellent communication skills for customer interactions.
- Curiosity, adaptability, and adaptability to work independently or in teams.
- Ability to operate electronic and digital diagnostic tools.
