Service Engineer - Mechanical
Service Engineer Workshop based
Charlbury, Oxfordshire
Monday to Thursday 08:30 - 17:00 | Friday 08:30 - 16:00 | 37.5 hours

The Role - Service Engineer
Working within the service team, you will be involved in a wide range of workshop engineering and repair activities, including:
- Stripping, inspecting, repairing and rebuilding mechanical components and systems
- Fault-finding and carrying out repairs on customer equipment
- Functional testing of serviced and repaired equipment
- Preparing hire equipment and carrying out checks before dispatch
- Completing inspection reports and service paperwork accurately
- Maintaining workshop standards, tools, stock and test equipment
Skills & Experience - Service Engineer
- A mechanical engineering or workshop background
- Strong fault-finding and hands-on mechanical repair experience
- Experience working within a service, maintenance or repair environment
- Good communication and report-writing skills
- A practical, team-focused approach with good attention to detail
- Hydraulics or fluid power experience would be an advantage
