Role Overview
We are seeking a motivated Service Engineer to join our Service team, supporting the installation, commissioning, maintenance, and servicing of advanced Navigation, Automation, and Communication (ANC) systems.
In this hands-on role, you will work closely with experienced engineers to deliver high-quality field service activities for customers across the UK and internationally. You will play an important role in ensuring successful project execution while building strong customer relationships and maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and technical excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, test, troubleshoot, and commission Navigation, Automation, and Communication (ANC) systems on customer vessels
- Support and supervise field service teams, subcontractors, and shipyard personnel during service and commissioning activities
- Conduct site surveys and prepare detailed work specifications for service projects
- Ensure the correct tools, materials, and equipment are available to complete assigned work efficiently
- Act as a key technical contact for customers, responding to enquiries and resolving technical issues
- Deliver high-quality service work through effective troubleshooting, diagnostics, and technical problem-solving
- Prepare accurate service reports and maintain project documentation
- Mentor and support colleagues by sharing technical knowledge and best practices when required
- Ensure all work complies with company Quality Assurance procedures, Health & Safety regulations, and ISO standards
- Maintain a flexible and proactive approach, supporting additional service activities as business needs require

Key Requirements
- HND/HNC in Engineering or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience
- Experience with marine, electrical, automation, navigation, or communication systems (advantageous)
- Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Good organizational skills with the ability to produce accurate documentation and service reports
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
- Willingness to travel extensively throughout the UK and occasionally internationally
- Proactive, adaptable, and committed to delivering high-quality service
- Fluent in English (both written and spoken)
