Service Engineer
Service Engineer - Field based
Overview
We are seeking an experienced Service Engineer to support the maintenance, repair, commissioning, and optimisation of process cooling systems across a range of industrial environments. The successful candidate will be a proactive engineer with strong fault-finding skills and a customer-focused approach.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on process cooling systems.
- Diagnose and resolve electrical, mechanical, and control system faults.
- Commission cooling equipment in line with specifications and industry standards.
- Conduct system inspections and performance assessments.
- Provide technical support and guidance to customers on-site.

Required Experience
- Minimum 5 years' experience working on process cooling systems.
- Strong fault-finding and repair experience across refrigeration, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Knowledge of pumps, valves, heat exchangers, free coolers, adiabatic coolers, and associated controls.
- Experience carrying out commissioning, maintenance, and breakdown response activities.
- Full UK driving licence and formal engineering qualification.

Desirable Skills
- Health & Safety qualification or relevant experience.
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Experience mentoring or supporting junior engineers.
- Excellent documentation and reporting skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
