Service Engineer
Generator Engineer Role – South of England & Wales
About the Role
Are you a Generator Engineer, Field Service Engineer, or Diesel Engineer seeking a new challenge in the energy and asset rental sector?
Join Dawsongroup Energy Solutions and work across the South of England and Wales, supporting a diverse range of diesel generator equipment. This role provides the opportunity to:
- Build long-term customer relationships
- Enhance your technical skills by working on critical power solutions
Key Responsibilities
- Service, maintain, diagnose and repair diesel generators and associated hire equipment across customer sites in the South of England and Wales
- Prepare machinery for hire, support hire operations and ensure all equipment is maintained to a high standard
- Deliver excellent customer service, providing technical advice and field support to customers and team members
- Complete accurate administration including service reports, parts usage records and time tracking
- Ensure all work adheres to safety and compliance standards, including company policies and legal requirements
Requirements
This role is ideal for those who possess:
- Full UK driving licence (required)
- Proven experience in working with diesel engines, gearboxes, hydraulics, electrical systems and braking systems
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills, focusing on both mechanical and electrical systems
- Comfortability working independently while managing your daily workload efficiently
- A customer-focused mindset, excellent communication and attention to detail
