Description
Location: Covering the South
We are currently seeking a Service Engineer to join a rapidly growing, family-run SME. As a Service Engineer, you will be an integral part of a vibrant team. The company Headquarters is based Gloucester, and they operate within the water industry. You will be covering the south side of the M25 responding to maintenance, repairs and commissioning requests. You must have both Mechanical and Electrical knowledge.
Principal Responsibilities:
Deliver exceptional customer service through expert product and technical knowledge, reinforcing the brand Install, commission, service, and repair pumps, pump systems, and other mechanical equipment Conduct site visits as scheduled by the service manager, providing detailed reports and recommendations Attend emergency call-outs, performing necessary repairs and communicating effectively with the team Ensure safety at all times, producing robust risk assessments and method statements Maintain professionalism and diligence, prioritizing customer satisfaction and outstanding service Perform routine preventative maintenance on wastewater systems, identifying and addressing faults Produce detailed summaries of work, manage work effectively, and communicate progress with schedulers Keep up to date with company policies and procedures, maintaining vehicle cleanliness and stock levels Participate in the on-call rota to provide out-of-hours cover

Requirements
Technical knowledge of water boosting technology and packaged pump stations Experience in the pump industry or construction-related roles Confined Space Entry Qualification Current CSCS qualification Some electrical training Self-motivated with a "can do" attitude and a high standard of workmanship Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills Emergency First Aid at Work Qualification Clean driving license Effective communication skills (verbal, written, and email) Beneficial IT skills
