Service Engineer

Service Engineer – Elevator & Escalator Maintenance

Location: Otis London, 96 Great Suffolk Street, Southwark, London, SE1 0BE • Country: United Kingdom

Role Overview

Would you like to join a truly international, talent-driven company that values Safety, Ethics, Quality, Innovation, and Employee Opportunity? Otis is growing and is looking for a maintenance mechanic for one of our entities located in London.

Your priority is to ensure the safety of passengers and technical stakeholders by safely maintaining a portfolio of elevator and escalator units. On a typical day, you will:

  • Carry out 100% of lift maintenance and service visits of the units within the London area
  • Work within and across the London region, managing the portfolio of lifts efficiently
  • Respond proactively and quickly to fix any breakdowns, aiming for a first-time fix
  • Conduct minor repairs to ensure continuous operation
  • Liaise directly with customers onsite to build strong working relationships

What You Will Need

To excel in this role, you should:

  • Be NVQ-qualified (or equivalent) in lift service, repair, and maintenance
  • Hold a valid UK driving license
  • Have at least 24 months of experience in the lift industry
  • Possess strong skills in electricity and electrical engineering
  • Be a committed professional with safety as your top priority
  • Communicate clearly with colleagues and customers
  • Be curious, adaptable, and able to work independently or in a team
  • Be comfortable using electronic and digital tools
