Role description
This is an exciting opportunity to work with industry-leading Avanti products across the Alimak Group UK territory. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality service, installation, and technical support, ensuring customers receive safe, reliable, and efficient solutions.
Key tasks & responsibilities
- Carry out maintenance, fault-find, repair, installation and technical support tasks on Avanti products across Alimak Group UK territory in accordance with customer requirements, both external and internal. This will include Thorough Examinations, test & inspections and commissioning.
- Fully complete all required documentation, accurately, legibly and timely, including but not limited to service vouchers, timesheets, reports of Thorough Examination, visit reports, surveys and holiday requests.
- In all activities work in accordance with Alimak Group UK policies, procedures, work instructions, Safe Systems of Work, product manuals, training received and best company practice.
- Work with Senior Service engineers to develop skills and knowledge as appropriate.
- Operate as a professional representative of Alimak Group UK, demonstrated for example through personal appearance, condition of vehicles, driving behaviour and behavior on our customer’s sites and elsewhere.
- When on customer’s sites, follow all customer policies and procedures.
- As a member of a customer-focused company, be responsive to customer requirements if requested to work additional hours, both weekday and weekend, and to stay away from home.
- Participate if required in the Alimak Group UK emergency out of hours standby rota.
- Identify and be involved in continuous improvement in Alimak Group UK operations and processes with a specific focus on the safety, quality, customer experience and efficiency of the field operations.
- Participate in developing the competence of the field engineering team as a recipient of training and development, support the development of other members of the field team and Alimak Group. This includes taking active participation in the company performance review process.
- Fulfil employee responsibilities as defined in the company’s H&S Management System.
- Support the development of, and work in accordance with, the company’s Business Management System, encompassing Quality, Health & Safety and Environmental policies and procedures.
- Develop and maintain excellent communications and relations with all key stakeholders (customers, Group employees, suppliers etc.) to support growth of the Wind Division UK and Alimak Group, operating in line with Alimak Group brand values.
- When workloads dictate, undertake other field- or workshop-based tasks appropriate to skills and experience.

- Proven experience in a technical role
