We are seeking experienced Service, Installation, Field and Commissioning Engineers specialising in CCTV, Access Control, Fire and Alarm systems across the UK
This role involves delivering high-quality installation, maintenance, and commissioning services for security and safety systems in a variety of settings. The successful candidates will possess strong technical expertise, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team to ensure system integrity and customer satisfaction. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects within the security industry, supporting clients with cutting-edge solutions.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and commission CCTV, access control, fire alarm, and security systems in accordance with technical specifications and client requirements.
- Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting of installed systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Assist with system upgrades, repairs, and modifications as needed.
- Interpret technical schematics, wiring diagrams, and system design documents to facilitate accurate installation.
- Perform testing of electrical circuits and network connections to verify system functionality.
- Utilise hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment safely during installation and maintenance tasks.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their security needs and provide professional advice on system optimisation.
- Document all work performed accurately in service reports and update system records accordingly.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times during site visits and installations.
- Support project teams during construction phases by providing technical expertise on telecommunication infrastructure and system integration.

Skills
- Strong knowledge of computer networking principles relevant to CCTV and access control systems.
- Mechanical knowledge related to hardware installation and maintenance.
- Experience working with computer hardware components within security systems.
- Electrical experience including wiring, circuit testing, and power management.
- Proven expertise in CCTV technology, including analogue and IP-based systems.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and specialised construction equipment such as power drills or crimping tools.
- Ability to read technical schematics, wiring diagrams, and system design documents accurately.
- Familiarity with IDS (Intrusion Detection Systems) integration within security networks.
- Experience with system design processes for customised security solutions.
- Knowledge of telecommunication infrastructure relevant to remote monitoring or alarm signalling systems.
- Construction experience is advantageous for site setup or infrastructure works.

This role requires candidates who are proactive problem-solvers with excellent organisational skills, capable of managing multiple projects efficiently across different locations within the UK. A recognised qualification in electrical engineering or telecommunications is desirable but not essential for highly experienced applicants committed to continuous professional development.
