The Vacancy
Do you have experience managing housing support services and leading teams to make a positive difference for customers? As a Service Manager, you’ll lead the daily running of a specialist housing service, ensuring customers receive the right support while meeting required standards. You’ll work with colleagues, partners and customers to deliver a safe, effective service.
Salary: £43,310.63 per year
Contract: Permanent, full time
Your week: 36.25 hours - Monday to Friday 9am to 5.15pm

Snapshot of your role
- Manage the day-to-day running of the service, ensuring legal, regulatory and contract requirements are met.
- Make sure customers receive high-quality, person-centred support that meets their needs and helps promote independence and wellbeing.
- Work with commissioners, partner agencies and internal teams to deliver effective services and support continuous improvement.
- Oversee customer referrals, assessments, support plans, risk management and safeguarding processes in line with policies and procedures.
- Lead and support colleagues through induction, supervision, development and performance management to help them deliver great services.
- Monitor budgets, spending, rent accounts and financial processes while following Amplius policies and helping to maximise income.
- Manage the scheme environment, including health and safety checks, repairs, planned works, risk assessments and housing management responsibilities.

What You’ll Need To Thrive In This Role
- A good level of education, particularly in maths and literacy.
- Knowledge of housing support services, particularly around homelessness.
- An understanding of regulatory standards, professional boundaries and good practice.
- Experience of working with partners and organising multi-agency meetings.
- Knowledge of managing anti-social behaviour and Positive Behaviour Support.
- Understanding of basic building maintenance and health and safety requirements.
- Strong communication, organisation and time management skills, with the ability to work accurately and meet deadlines.
- The ability to lead, support and motivate teams through coaching, guidance and effective teamwork.
Important - DBS clearance, a full UK driving licence, access to your own vehicle and right to work in the UK are all essential requirements. We do not provide sponsorship.
