About the Team & the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full-time Service Manager to lead strategy development and stakeholder coordination within Gloucestershire County Council’s Employment and Skills Hub.
The role involves:
- Influencing and leading strategic and operational developments in skills and employment support.
- Joining up initiatives to ensure residents develop skills aligned with local labour market demands.
- Collaborating with permissions from health, education, skills, and employment sectors to drive positive outcomes for residents and employers.
The Employment and Skills Hub is a dynamic sector with new national and local developments shaping Gloucestershire’s workforce and economy. This position offers the chance to foster strategic partnerships for meaningful impact.

About You
Experience & Skills
You will possess:
- Proven senior-level management experience, including performance management.
- Strong sector knowledge of local and national skills policies and strategies.
- Passion for innovation in developing sustainable initiatives and diverse operational workflows.
Ideal candidates will also:
- Be enthusiastic, self-motivated, and committed to improving lives in Gloucestershire.
- Thrive in an environment of change, demonstrating adaptability and a collaborative approach.
