Service Manager | Learning Disabilities & Complex Care

Location: Dunfermline Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 per annum

The Role

Compass Associates are partnership with a well-established charity to recruit a Service Manager for a rare and highly rewarding supported living service supporting the transition of individuals from long-term hospital care into a community setting.

The service is part of a larger organisation recognised for its person-centred support across Scotland.

This is a unique opportunity to:

  • Establish and lead a new specialist service
  • Build and develop your own team
  • Play a pivotal role in delivering positive outcomes for individuals with complex needs

The ideal candidate is someone passionate about improving outcomes for individuals with complex needs.

Requirements For The Candidate

The ideal candidate will have: ✔ Strong background supporting adults with learning disabilities, autism, and challenging behaviours ✔ Previous management experience within supported living, residential care, or complex care services ✔ Experience in Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) environments ✔ Strong understanding of:

  • Safeguarding
  • Relevant legislation
  • Person-centred support

The client is seeking a resilient and compassionate leader who can:

  • Lead with operational focus
  • Collaborate with families, multidisciplinary professionals, and external stakeholders
  • Maintain high standards of governance, compliance, and service delivery

Specific Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years leadership/management experience within a relevant care setting
  • Experience supporting adults with learning disabilities
  • Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) experience (essential)
  • Strong understanding of governance, compliance, and Scottish legislation

Desirable Skills

  • Experience in hospital discharge or transition projects
  • Trauma-informed practice experience
  • SVQ Level 4/5 or equivalent management qualification
