Service Manager – Mental Health Lead
Location: Gloucestershire
Contract: 40 Hours
Shift Patterns: Mon – Sun 40 hours per week – alternative weekends
On Call: 1st in line and 1 week out of 5
Pay rate: £37,000

What will the Service Manager role look like for you?
As a Service Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day delivery of our mental health supported living services, supporting individuals with complex mental health needs, including dual diagnosis (drug and alcohol use), suicidal ideation, and behaviours that challenge. You will provide strong, compassionate leadership to ensure services are safe, therapeutic, and recovery focused.
You will support the development and implementation of person-centred, evidence-based care and risk management plans, ensuring full CQC compliance. Working closely with staff teams, families, and external professionals, you will promote effective communication and positive outcomes. Experience within mental health or dual-diagnosis services is highly desirable.

What we are looking for in a Service Manager
Clichés aside – however we really are looking for people who care and that are truly committed to transforming lives. We believe the qualities of a great Leader is being empathetic, supportive, resilient, respectful, and courageous which is all the personal attributes you will need to succeed within this role.
Due to the nature of this role, you will need to have/be:
- Experience supporting individuals with mental health conditions
- Strong understanding of mental health recovery and risk
- Experience of working with a trauma informed approach.
- Risk management and care planning expertise, including developing risk assessments and support plans.
- Strong leadership and team development skills, capable of motivating and coaching staff across multiple services.
- Thorough knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Mental Capacity Act, Mental Health Act, and CQC standards.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills, building positive relationships with service users, families, and stakeholders while managing multiple priorities.
- Hold a full UK driving licence and able to work across locations as required.
- A recognised managerial qualification desirable not essential
- Experience of working with individuals with dual/complex diagnoses including learning disabilities and autism desirable not essential
