Role: Service Manager (MIE)

Location: London, UK (Hybrid – 2 days onsite per week)
Contract: Initial 12 Months

About the Role

We are currently looking for an experienced Service Manager / Service Delivery Manager to join a major enterprise transformation programme within a highly regulated environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the effective delivery of day-to-day IT operational services across multiple suppliers and technology teams, while maintaining service quality, operational stability, and contractual compliance.

This role would suit professionals with strong experience in Service Management, Supplier/Vendor Management, Service Operations, Incident Management, and DevOps environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day IT operational services delivered by multiple suppliers.
  • Ensure service stability, operational excellence, and adherence to SLAs/KPIs.
  • Manage supplier performance and ensure contractual commitments are met.
  • Lead operational escalations, major incidents, and service remediation activities.
  • Drive continuous service improvement initiatives.
  • Support service transition and operational readiness activities.
  • Collaborate with engineering, architecture, product, risk, and operations teams.
  • Support release management and change management activities where required.
  • Produce operational governance reports and service performance metrics.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations across business and technology teams.

Required Skills & Experience

Essential:

  • Extensive experience as a Service Manager, Service Delivery Manager, IT Service Manager, or similar role.
  • Strong experience managing suppliers and vendor relationships.
  • Excellent understanding of IT Service Management disciplines.
  • Experience managing incidents, problems, escalations, and operational risks.
  • Experience working within DevOps and enterprise delivery environments.
  • Strong understanding of SLA, KPI, and service governance frameworks.
  • Experience supporting service transition and operational readiness activities.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Experience working within large enterprise or regulated environments.

  • Experience supporting Release Management activities.
  • Workday experience.
  • ITIL certification.
  • Experience within Financial Services or highly regulated industries.

Working Arrangement

  • Hybrid working model.
  • Approximately 40% onsite attendance (typically 2 days per week).
  • Primary location: London.
  • Candidates based in Leeds, Edinburgh, or Aberdeen may also be considered.
