Service Manager – Plant & Equipment
Building a sustainable tomorrow
BAM Site Solutions are looking to recruit a Service Manager – Plant & Equipment to be based in Wellingborough.
Leading a team within Hire Operations, the Service Manager will oversee all day-to-day operational activities of a busy workshop internally and externally, working within the Hire Operations Team to:
- Continuously improve safety, systems, and processes
- Provide ongoing training and product knowledge
- Drive customer service excellence
- Support a growing client and site portfolio

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, motivate, and develop the Service Network team
- Deliver daily briefings to maximise performance and efficiency

Customer & Operations Management
- Build and maintain strong customer and supply chain relationships
- Ensure service level agreements (SLAs) are met
- Manage service schedules for plant across depots and customer sites, including:
- Inspections
- Servicing
- Compliance requirements
- Oversee day-to-day asset management of plant within ACC, including:
- Adding new assets
- Maintaining accurate records

Operational & Financial Oversight
- Monitor plant breakdowns, maintain AF14 records, and identify service delivery improvements
- Ensure efficient customer order delivery and resolve complaints/timeously
- Work with the Depot Manager & Finance team to ensure:
- Supplier accounts meet financial, operational, and H&S requirements

Continuous Improvement & Compliance
- Identify innovative ways of working and implement best industry practices
- Lead health and safety activities, including:
- Workplace risk assessments
- Action plans
- Toolbox talks
- Quarterly team briefings
- Monitor team performance against operational, financial, and customer service targets
- Ensure objectives and deadlines are achieved
